I WILL NOT PLAY AGAIN:Rangers fc best player announces his sudden departure…..

Rangers closed the transfer window with a couple of positions still needing to be addressed by Philippe Clement.

One of those was on the wing after Michael Beale left the squad short of quality and Scott Wright’s exit saw the numbers also reduced for the manager on deadline day.

An attempt to sign Samuel Edozie fell at the last hurdle, however, by ending the Ianis Hagi saga, Rangers have an immediate upgrade with The Daily Record reporting who is to thank.

What made Rangers make Ianis Hagi about turn?

The decision to restore Hagi to the first team is a mutual one, but Clement was pretty resolute in his stance only a few weeks ago:

“No, I cannot say anything now because there is not really a development for the moment.”

“We spoke about that months ago, really open and honest with his agent also that we don’t see him to become the next No10 for Rangers for the next couple of years and to look out for other opportunities.

“So that story stays the same and for sure, with (Nedim) Bajrami now in the building, you have this situation.”

Clement always spoke as if he saw Hagi filling the number 10 role currently occupied and that has Tom Lawrence bang in form.

For club and country, Hagi has consistently displayed his best football playing off the right.

That Hagi is two-footed and is comfortable on either side is also a plus.

Despite the stand off amid Hagi’s pleas to play for Rangers, an intervention from senior players is claimed by the Record to have been the difference.
