UNBELIEVABLE NEWS;Goodbye I am leaving finally..
Dean Saunders said Everton supporters must have found the performance against Fulham “horrendous to watch”.
The Toffees struggled to get going against Marco Silva’s side with a 94th-minute header from Beto at least earning a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park on Saturday (26 October).
The former Liverpool forward was one of several people who raised concerns about Everton’s performance.
Speaking on talkSPORT (27 October) Saunders said: “I think his genius is, Sean (Dyche). He doesn’t try to build a world-class kitchen with B&Q tools. So what he means is we can’t play like Man City so we have to find another way to win, that’s what he does.
“They didn’t play well yesterday. Probably, if you were an Everton fan, you would think that was horrendous to watch and I have to say Fulham were brilliant.”
Everton have found some momentum
While their performance against Fulham may not have been satisfactory, a draw is a decent result for Dyche’s side who are now unbeaten in their last five games.
Their recent form has somewhat opened up the gap from the bottom with the Toffees now six points away from the bottom three albeit having played an extra game in comparison to some.
Despite the performance, the result continues their run and solidifies the platform that they can build from as they look to surge up the table.
Beto, coming on as a substitute, scored the equaliser and from his emotions alone at the end of the game, you could see how much it meant to the striker.
That’s what Everton need. They need players to recognise the importance of every goal, tackle and most importantly, every result as the club looks to return to their old ways of being a solid Premier League outfit with the potential to challenge higher up the table.
