SHOCKING NEWS:Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United kick-off time has been postponed….
Tottenham Hotspur will be keen to get back to winning ways when they host capital rivals West Ham United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Before the international break, Tottenham suffered a deflating 3-2 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion, which ended their five-match winning streak across all competitions.
Goals from James Maddison and Brennan Johnson gave Spurs a comfortable two-goal cushion heading into the half-time interval.
However, Brighton scored three times in 18 second-half minutes to turn the game on its head and inflict Spurs’ third league defeat.
Ange Postecoglou will demand a swift response from his side but going up against West Ham could be tricky for the Lilywhites.
Predicted XI
Despite expressing his frustration with the shocking defeat two weeks ago, Postecoglou will likely field a similar starting line-up against West Ham on Saturday.
Guglielmo Vicario starts in goal with a familiar back four of Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Destiny Udogie ahead of him.
James Maddison has recaptured his form after enduring a mini-drought following his recovery from injury and will start in midfield alongside Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Postecogou was delighted to confirm that skipper Son Heung-min has returned to the fold after shaking off an injury during the international break.
The 32-year-old has struggled to get going this season, returning two goals and two assists in seven games, but his return will be a massive boost to Spurs.
Son is expected to replace the frustrating Timo Werner on the left flank. The German international has drawn blanks in eight games across all competitions thus far.
Richarlison has also returned to training and is in contention to make his first appearance since the 4-0 win over his former employers, Everton, back in August.
However, he will likely start this weekend’s London derby on the bench with Dominic Solanke leading the line while the in-form Brennan Johnson retains his spot on the right flank.
(4-2-3-1): Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Maddison, Bentancur, Kulusevski; Son, Solanke, Johnson.
