SHOCKING NEWS:Tom Lockyer announce his departure due to…

Luton Town youngster Josh Odell-Bature has joined Bedford Town on loan, as announced by their official club website.

Luton Town have let the defender head out the exit door on a temporary basis to get some experience under his belt. He has linked up with the Southern Premier Division Central side on a one-month basis.

Odell-Bature, 19, has risen up through the academy ranks at Kenilworth Road. He has been with the Hatters since Under-13’s level and has been a regular for them at various different youth levels since then.

In this latest update regarding his situation, the Championship outfit have confirmed on their website that he has gone to Bedford Town on loan for the next four weeks. He has been named in their squad to face Bromsgrove Sporting this weekend as he looks to make his debut.

Odell-Bature will be eager to get as much game time as possible to boost his development.

The teenager broke into Luton Town’s Under-18’s side and has since made the step up to the Under-21’s.

He is still waiting on his senior debut for the Hatters and will hope to become a member of their first-team in the future.

The Hillingdon-born man penned his first professional deal with the Bedfordshire club back in 2023 along with the likes of Jake Burger, Joshua Phillips and Oliver Lynch, among others.

Odell-Bature was then handed a contract extension this summer after catching the eye for the development squad in the last campaign which shows he is highly-rated.

Bedford Town are sat in 6th place in the table after an impressive start to this term and their latest recruit will bolster their defensive ranks.

Luton Town will have a decision to make on what to do next with Odell-Bature once his loan is over.

In the meantime, the Hatters will be looking to return to winning ways on Saturday as they face an away trip to Coventry City.

Rob Edwards’ men lost 2-1 at home to Sunderland last time out and are 19th in the league, two points above the drop zone.
