Shocking News:Rangers regret over Todd Cantwell exit decision few minutes ago
Rangers may well have made an error in allowing Todd Cantwell to leave Ibrox in the summer transfer window.
Cantwell’s time in Glasgow was somewhat strange. While the winger could put in a stellar performance if he chose to, his bad attitude often got in the way of him making a consistent impact.
‘Rangers Fans Have To Look At Themselves’ after…
In the end, the former Norwich man was sold for around £650,000 to Blackburn Rovers and has almost instantly hit the ground running at Ewood Park.
He’s played seven Championship games for Rovers thus far and has managed to chip in with two assists.
While this return may not seem like the strongest, the fact he’s only started a few of those games shows how much of an impact he’s already had on Tony Mowbray’s side.
Indeed, Vaclav Cerny and Nedim Bajrami were brought in by Philippe Clement in the summer to fill the void left by the Englishman but neither have been outstanding thus far.
Speaking on the Daily Record’s Hotline Live (21 October), Jackson touched on Cantwell’s departure and shared that he thinks the winger would have made the Gers’ team “better” this season.
Rangers should have kept Todd Cantwell
His time at Ibrox may not be fondly remembered by most but there’s no denying that the winger was one of the club’s most creative players.

Without the Englishman in the side, it’s evident that the team is lacking creativity and the fact Cyriel Dessers hasn’t hit the back of the net in his last five games hasn’t likely helped matters much either.
The Gers tried to reinforce their ranks over the summer but things haven’t quite worked out as the club currently sit third in the Scottish Premiership.
