Shocking News:Newcastle United player is now set to leave club imminently after development…

The January transfer window will be fascinating from a Newcastle United perspective.

While those behind the scenes at Newcastle are believed to think they are through the worst of the PSR problems to have restricted their spending last summer, some limitations reportedly remain in play.

In fact, there would appear to be little guarantee that the club sign anyone at all this month.

Still, player sales could help raise funds for Eddie Howe and names have been linked away.

Major League Soccer (MLS) side Charlotte FC are openly talking about how much they rate Miguel Almiron amid his links with the club, while owners PIF are understood to want Kieran Trippier to leave.

Another of the names being tipped to depart is Martin Dubravka.

The goalkeeper has performed well when covering for Nick Pope’s injury but is thought to have agreed terms over a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab and a fresh update has now emerged.

According to Saudi Arabian outlet Asharq Al-Awsat, Dubravka is set to leave Newcastle after Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at Arsenal.

It is claimed that the deal is all agreed and that Dubravka was supposed to have completed the move earlier, only for Newcastle to want to keep him for the trip to north London.

After that, however, it’s said that the goalkeeper will make his move to the Saudi Pro League.
