Shocking news:Leeds United two key players rejected terms and conditions and insisted leaving…
Leeds United are targeting two more additions in the summer transfer market before it shuts next month but the Championship club are yet to make a decision on whether to continue their pursuit of Dejan Ljubičić.
According to The Athletic, the Whites are keen to bolster their ranks further before the window closes on 30 August.
The Yorkshire outfit are aiming to compete for automatic promotion from the Championship this season after narrowly missing out in the previous campaign.
Daniel Farke will be keen to strengthen, having already added a number of fresh faces to the squad so far this summer.
However, no decision has yet been made on whether to continue their pursuit of Ljubičić after their first bid for the player was turned down.
Leeds are reportedly targeting the addition of another midfielder and right-back before the transfer market shuts.
The Whites have already added Jayden Bogle to their defensive options following a deal with Sheffield United.
Joe Rothwell has also arrived to strengthen their midfield, arriving from Bournemouth on loan for the upcoming campaign.
An initial offer worth £3.4 million was rejected by German side Koln for Ljubičić in their pursuit of another midfield signing.
It remains to be seen whether an improved offer will be tabled, with it also being reported that the Championship side are interested in signing Jordan James from Birmingham City.
Ljubičić has just one year remaining on his current contract, so could be available for a cut-rate price.
It is also unclear what option will emerge as their preferred option at right-back, and player sales could yet determine other future targets.
Leeds will be hoping to hold onto the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, who have both been linked with moves away from Elland Road in recent months.
Wilfried Gnonto has also been reportedly attracting interest, but it has been claimed talks with Premier League side Everton have stalled.
