Shocking News:Leeds United in hunt to sign Kofi Shaw as Bristol Rovers exit stance emerges few minutes ago

Leeds United are interested in signing Kofi Shaw despite him being happy to stay at Bristol Rovers, according to Alan Nixon.

The journalist reported to his Patreon on 29 September that the “dazzling midfielder” has been subject to interest from the Whites and Premier League highflyers Aston Villa.

The 17-year-old has been watched by scouts from various sides but he remains happy to stay with the Gas while he’s playing first-team football.

It has to be said that it is positive to see Leeds linked to young stars who could potentially come in and have an impact on the first team.

There has been a production line of talent at Elland Road which has seen talents come through and feature regularly in recent years.

The most recent and prominent example has been Archie Gray who was superb for the Whites last campaign as Daniel Farke backed him throughout the season.

It says a lot that the 18-year-old secured a move to Tottenham Hotspur after missing out on promotion with his boyhood club.

He shows that there is a pathway under Farke at Leeds to come into the first team and gain the attention of top sides.

Shaw could prove to be the next starlet at Elland Road if he decides to make the move away from the Memorial Stadium in January or next summer.

It would certainly be a coup for the Whites if they can beat Aston Villa to the midfielder’s signature.

In other Leeds United news, one fringe star must now step up for Leeds after the latest development after the win against Coventry.
