SHOCKING NEWS;Leeds United confirm the return of former player Kristoffer Klaesson few minutes ago

Leeds United only released Kristoffer Klaesson in the summer but with a move to AGF Aarhus sealed, he joins his second club since his exit.

Leeds United saw a number of players move on in the summer transfer window.

Some big names like Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter were sold in sizeable deals, while some on the fringes were released at the end of their contracts at Elland Road.

Norwegian goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson falls into the latter category, heading for pastures new after failing to break into the Whites’ first-team. However, things haven’t gone quite as hoped since his departure.

The former Leeds United youngster actually joined Polish side Rakow shortly after his release but after complaints about his diet and weight, they made the decision to release him in August.

Now though, Klaesson is back in the game.

Danish side AGF Aarhus have announced the signing of the 23-year-old. He pens a deal until the end of the 2024/25 campaign as he looks to prove his talents away from Elland Road.

Linking up with an ex-Whites boss

Leeds United have been through a lot since then were under the lead of Uwe Rosler and his dismal tenure is firmly in the past.

It’s Rosler who former goalkeeper Klaesson will be linking up with upon his move to Denmark though.

Rosler has been in charge of AGF since the summer of 2022 and he has worked pretty well there. Between arriving over two years ago and his Leeds United exit, the 55-year-old has had spells in charge of Fleetwood Town, Malmo FF and Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Looking to maximise his potential

Klaesson’s brief time in Poland might not have gone to plan but it will be hoped he can get back on track post his Leeds United exit. A move to Denmark offers another shot at a fresh chance, and he’ll be eager to take it.
