SHOCKING NEWS;Leeds United announces new ownership few minutes ago..

Leeds United have tried to sign Largie Ramazani during the current transfer window, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

The Belgian journalist reported via X on 16 August that the Whites had made an attempt for the Almeria winger, but talks over a new contract have since been opened with his current club.

Negotiations are under way over an extension to 2028 amid rival interest from Besiktas and AEK Athens.

Leeds United are trying to replace former star winger Crysencio Summerville after his move to West Ham, while Jaidon Anthony returned to Bournemouth after last season’s loan.

Leeds United in pursuit of Jonathan Rowe from Norwich City

Ramazani appeared to be a prime candidate for clubs in need of attacking help this summer after his club were relegated from La Liga last term and he entered the final 12 months of his current deal.

Daniel Farke is in particularly huge need of help in the forward positions now that Georginio Rutter is also on the way to Brighton [David Ornstein, 14 August].

Almeria looking to tie the 23-year-old down to a new deal may not rule out a move but would clearly make one much more expensive.

Jonathan Rowe at Norwich City has emerged as the primary option out wide to replace Summerville, and as things stand it looks like the Whites are best placed to land him if he is going anywhere.

Both Marseille and Monaco have financial hurdles to clear [Santi Aouna, 14 August] whereas Leeds have plenty of transfer proceeds but are running out of time to make use of them.

The 49ers have lined up a fall-back option in case they fail to bring in Rowe with Stoke City’s Million Manhoef also liked [TEAMtalk, 14 August].

But progress is not being made fast enough when Rutter is about to become the fourth key man to leave this summer after Summerville, Glen Kamara and Archie Gray.
