Shocking News:Leeds United ace Dan James goes missing for Wales despite win v Iceland

Leeds United ace Dan James had little impact for Wales despite securing a Nations League win against Iceland to win their group.

The Dragons secured a much-needed win against Iceland on Tuesday night (19 November), winning 4-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Despite the positivity surrounding Craig Bellamy’s side, the Whites’ winger failed to show his best form before being taken off in the second half.

The 27-year-old has netted just two goals in the Championship this season in what has arguably been a poor start to the season but has been hampered by injury.

The Welshman has shown little to make Leeds supporters that this will change in the coming weeks with a quiet performance for his country.

James was taken off with 17 minutes remaining and during his time on the pitch, he registered just 32 touches on the ball but only two of those came in the Iceland penalty area [FotMob].

This isn’t really good enough, especially while featuring for a side which scored four on the night.

The forward did register three shots but with only one on target and another blocked, he would have hoped for better from himself.

It wasn’t as if the Leeds man was putting chances on a plate for his teammates as he maintained a zero per cent success rate for both dribbles and crosses despite five attempts to get the ball into the box.

Defensively the ex-Manchester United man was also absent as he failed to contribute a tackle while also losing five duels with a win rate of just 29 per cent.

With a clash coming up against his former side Swansea City (24 November), Daniel Farke will hope that James can find his feet in front of goal and have more of an impact for his club side.
