Shocking News:Leeds could move to sign available star loved by Marcelo Bielsa – sources

Leeds United could consider a move for former Rangers star Ryan Kent, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the 27-year-old was previously a target for Marcelo Bielsa during his time in charge of the Whites.

Kent is currently a free agent as he left Fenerbahce in September after a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.

The winger is expected to be out to prove a point wherever he signs next after his time in Turkey ended in unfortunate circumstances.

The Championship side were recently dealt another injury blow with Largie Ramazani suffering an ankle ligament issue that will keep him out for up to six weeks.

Leeds are currently dealing with several other injury issues with Ethan Ampadu also sidelined, and if there are any more then Kent is someone who the club would consider bringing in as a free agent.

The Englishman has the ability to play on both wings, but that wasn’t enough to convince Jose Mourinho to give him game time this season.

Kent only made one appearance for Fenerbahce after the ‘Special One’ took over and was left out of the squad for every Super Lig game which led to his departure.

Kent does have experience playing in the Championship due to his spells with Coventry City and Barnsley.

The winger has made 54 appearances in the Championship throughout his career, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

Kent’s most notable run came playing for Rangers, making 218 appearances for the Scottish giants.

The 27-year-old scored 33 goals and provided 56 assists for the Gers during his time with the club, which led to his transfer to Fenerbahce.
