Shocking News:James Tavernier mooted to replace Philippe Clement as Rangers manager
James Tavernier has been mooted as an option to replace Philippe Clement as Rangers manager by a caller on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
Clement is under immense pressure at Ibrox after the Light Blues fell nine points behind Celtic and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership title race.
One Gers fan, Jamie, thinks Tavernier would make a great replacement for the Belgian tactician, having been at the club for nine years.
“Honestly, I think Tav, he’s a Rangers man, he knows the club, he’s been there through thick and thin. I think he’d do a great job”, he said on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard [21 November, 7:32 pm].
Gordon Dalziel, though, was having none of it and shot down the suggestion immediately, saying: “There’s no point answering that, Tavernier is not going to be the next Rangers manager.

Presenter Gordon Duncan, meanwhile, dismissed the claim as a “wind-up” and he is not wrong.
However, that remains unlikely for now as the Red Devils are not in a position to be able to pay the Scottish giants to sign the manager.
