SHOCKING NEWS;Everton loses a key player to the transfer window few minutes ago

Everton could be playing Championship football at Bramley Moore Dock next season after new developments, according to Jim White.

The Toffees currently sit bottom of the Premier League table in their final campaign at Goodison Park following their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Tottenham on Saturday (24 August).

While there is still plenty of football to be played this season, Telegraph journalist White admits that the Blues looked as though they had already “given up” and accepted relegation this season.

Writing for The Telegraph on Sunday (25 August) he said: “Everton’s sparkling new home on Bramley-Moore Dock is almost finished.

“But the growing worry for the club’s supporters is what kind of football will they be watching there when it opens for business next season.

“Unless there is a rapid change in their fortunes, the club who have never been relegated from the top flight could well be welcoming Preston, Hull and Portsmouth to their splendid headquarters on the banks of the Mersey.

“Anyone who suggests it is a bit early to be making predictions of a descent into the Championship was clearly not at Tottenham on Saturday, when, as they succumbed to a hapless 4-0 defeat, Sean Dyche’s side gave every appearance of a team who have already given up.”

Will Everton sack Sean Dyche and be relegated from the Premier League this season?

The Toffees’ defeat to Spurs was everything that supporters don’t expect to see from a Sean Dyche side, especially so early on in a new season.

The typical defensive solidity was absolutely nowhere to be seen, there was little battle and fight about the side and they even conceded from a set-piece, something that almost never happens under the former Burnley boss.
