SHOCKING NEWS;Everton has given up and set to cancel the match with Newcastle united due to

Everton have had a lot going on off the field recently, including the takeover and the new stadium, but now Sean Dyche has to face an issue that will affect things on the field.

Sean Dyche has already had a tough time at Goodison Park, and it now looks like it’s about to get a lot harder.

The Toffees’ defence has already conceded 15 goals in just six games, which forced Dyche to switch to a back three recently.

Of course, the return of Jarrad Branthwaite helped last time out, with the defence looking a little bit more secure.

With Newcastle United up next at Goodison Park, it’s vital that the Toffees keep things tight at the back with Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon in town.

However, a blow has emerged for Dyche prior to the game which could prove fatal.

Fresh Jarrad Branthwaite issue emerges at Everton

Jarrad Branthwaite had not long returned from a groin injury.

Now, he looks like he’s set to spend a period out of the side and is doubtful about the Newcastle game after sustaining a quad injury.

This is according to the Liverpool Echo, who revealed his situation.

Everton fans react to Jarrad Branthwaite setback

These Everton fans, when speaking on X, were all concerned about the development.

“Ahh there goes any chance of getting points.”, @Andy1985566 said.

@ShaunKsmith1878 wasn’t happy: “That’s him out for a month then.”

It was a result that the performances of Sean Dyche’s side deserved but the Magpies will be a much tougher test, even at home.

Newcastle sit seventh in the table having won three of their matches, picking up two draws – one with Manchester City – and losing just once.

While Eddie Howe’s side are injury-stricken – they’ll be without Alexander Isak on Saturday – and haven’t been playing their best, they remain a dangerous outfit, largely thanks to Anthony Gordon.
