SHOCKING NEWS;Danny Higginbotham rejected Steve cooper terms and conditions insisted leaving due to

Steve Cooper finally got his first Premier League win as Leicester City manager on Saturday as the Foxes beat AFC Bournemouth at the King Power.

Facundo Buonanotte scored the goal that handed Steve Cooper a first three points since taking over from Enzo Maresca in the summer.

Bournemouth are a decent side under Andoni Iraola and knocked on the door in the second-half but Wout Faes marshalled the Leicester backline expertly to also keep a first league clean sheet of the campaign.

Cooper was coming under pressure going into the game but the win should give the Foxes boss some breathing room going into the international break.

The win over Bournemouth was also the perfect start to a run of four crucial Premier League fixtures, with Leicester now facing Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town in their next three.

Danny Higginbotham thinks Steve Cooper will get Leicester City relegated

It is fair to say that Leicester fans have largely struggled to take to Cooper.

The fact the Welshman is most known for his spell in charge of rivals Nottingham Forest, combined with his uninspiring interviews and negative tactics, have made him a divisive figure amongst the King Power faithful.

Beating Bournemouth of course helps Cooper’s cause, but Danny Higginbotham believes the change from Maresca to Cooper is one of the reasons Leicester will be relegated this season.

Higginbotham explained this on The 2 Robbies podcast, saying: “Leicester City, you’ve got Steve Cooper coming in, he came in in the summer.

“He sees the game very differently than Maresca who’s now at Chelsea and has started well there. So that’s one of the reasons I’ve sort of put them there.”

Defeat to Bournemouth could have seen Leicester sack Cooper
