SHOCKING NEWS:Brendan Rodgers signs his resignation letter few minutes ago…

Brendan Rodgers has ‘no reason’ to consider leaving Celtic after the club’s impressive start to their Champions League campaign.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, ex-England international goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Rodgers, 51, will shun any potential offers to leave Celtic and potentially sign a new deal at the end of the season.

Celtic currently have a 100 per cent record across all competitions so far this season, conceding just four goals in their opening eight games.

Rodgers has lifted the Scottish Premier League in every full season he’s been at Celtic Park, winning the domestic treble twice in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

Brendan Rodgers should commit to Celtic

One thing that has eluded Rodgers while with the Scottish champions is success on the continent, having failed to progress beyond the Champions League group stage, now the league phase in the new format.

They currently sit in second place just behind German giants Bayern Munich but next face a tough test away at Borussia Dortmund.

“You’re always going to get linked when you’re a manager who’s successful and doing well”, Robinson told Football Insider.

“A football club like Celtic, the size and history of the place, that’s enough to keep a manager at the club itself.

“Brendan Rodgers has been to the Premier League, not like Ange Postecoglu, not like Steven Gerrard at the time when they got taken away from the Scottish Premier League.

“Brendan Rodgers is a manager who’s been there and done it in the Premier League, he’s managed Leicester and he’s managed Liverpool, and now he’s gone back to Celtic.

“There is a huge draw for him at Celtic with the Champions League, what a fantastic result they had and the biggest thing for them is they want to get out of the group stage.

“This new format, they’ve got a great opportunity, I looked at their home draws, home to Leipzig is going to be tough.
