SHOCKING NEWS;A talented winger from Everton signs a life contract with Newcastle United

Sean Dyche must ignore the outside noise and continue to trust Jasper Lindstrom when Everton hosts Newcastle United on Saturday 5 October.

The 24-year-old has become the subject of criticism at the Blues after his half-time substitution in the 2-1 win against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday [28 September].

Jack Harrison was the replacement and while he has been touted to replace the forward in the starting line-up for the match against Newcastle, Harrison hasn’t looked much better for the Toffees.

Lindstrom is still finding his feet on Merseyside and needs consistent game time, if he is to recapture his Eintracht Frankfurt form in a Blues shirt. Dyche must stick to his guns.

Jasper Lindstrom can come good for Everton

Everton finds themselves in unchartered territory, the monumental victory on the weekend has reaffirmed the positive atmosphere surrounding Goodison Park following the news The Friedkin Group will soon become the new owners of the club.

The Blues should consider themselves lucky, the selection dilemma on the right flank is the only question mark remaining in the side, with Jarrad Branthwaite’s return and Nathan Patterson and Seamus Coleman nearing their comebacks from injury.

However, the Toffees will need to be near-perfect to stand a chance of winning a second consecutive game against Newcastle despite the concerns surrounding Alexander Isak [Craig Hope].

Dyche must get his decision right on Saturday, Lindstrom has had his fair share of criticism already this season but, when considering what he can offer the side compared to Harrison, the decision is far easier than first anticipated.

Harrison only found the back of the net six times for the Blues last term, while Lindstrom struggled in his maiden season for Napoli, his nine-goal contributions in two consecutive seasons for Frankfurt earned him his big-money move to Italy.

There is a player there, Dyche will be under pressure to build on this newfound momentum but to get results, you must be bold and the bold choice is to continue with Lindstrom in the side and reap the rewards.
