SHOCKING NEWS; Tottenham and Newcastle accepts terms and conditions over a young star

Antoine Semenyo will be priced out of a move away from Bournemouth amid interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham.

This is according to former Spurs, Man United and West Ham scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that clubs will not meet their asking price for a player who wouldn’t necessarily start every game.

This follows Football Insider’s reveal that the Cherries would demand between £40-50million for the in-form attacker amid increasing speculation over his future.

Semenyo, 24, signed a new five-year contract at the Vitality Stadium in July, committing his long-term future to the club.

However, his name emerged on Newcastle’s list of names to strengthen their right-wing position, which Eddie Howe has earmarked as a crucial area for improvement.

Despite that interest, Brown has explained that the Magpies remain wary of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules after coming close to a breach in the summer.

Bournemouth set Antoine Semenyo asking price amid Newcastle United interest

Since his move to the South Coast in 2023, Semenyo has scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 56 games, with three goals and one assist in eight games so far this season.

Brown, who has worked closely with players and agents at the top level including in over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Bournemouth have set their asking price high to ward off interest.

No is the short answer, clubs won’t pay that price,” he told Football Insider.

“From what I’ve seen of him, he’s improved and done better than I would have expected.

“He’s all-hearted, he gives everything he’s got and he’s very talented in possession. He’s also worked very hard to improve and step up.

“But will Newcastle pay £40-50million for him? Not based on what I’ve heard.
