SHOCKING NEWS; Tottenham Hotspur confirm Thomas Tuchel as new headcoach manager

England have just appointed Thomas Tuchel as their new head coach who will take charge of the Three Lions as of January 2025.

The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager has agreed to coach the English national team for the next 18 months which will include the 2026 World Cup.

Tuchel boasts an exceptional pedigree in knockout football having won the Champions League with the Blues, reached the final with PSG and won the German and French cups.

However, whilst this comes as quite a coup for the FA, for some Tottenham fans, the appointment of a former club and country rival coach may come as a real frustration.

But Spurs supporters will certainly enjoy his quotes on the North London club from back in 2016 when his Borussia Dortmund side came to England.

Thomas Tuchel revealed his love for Tottenham in 2016

Tuchel revealed eight years ago that he used to play as Tottenham as a child with his friends because he loved the same of the club so much.

Back in 2016, his Dortmund team defeated Spurs in the Europa League and the German coach revealed what a special moment it was to coach against the North Londoners.

Speaking after the tie, Tuchel told the media: “As a little kid in my garden when I played I was always a team from the Bundesliga, of course, but there was one game when I played with my friends when I was Tottenham Hotspur.

“I liked the name so much, I didn’t have a picture or even know they played in London, so for me to play them in two legs was very special.”

Harry Kane reacts to Thomas Tuchel’s appointment
