Shocking News: Nottingham forest are set to bring him back

According to UOL, the Premier League side paid €4m to the Brazilian club for the goalkeeper.

The report claims the 25-year-old is entitled to receive a cut from Corinthians from his transfer to Nottingham Forest.

Corinthians initially agreed to pay R$2m [€332,884] for 20% of Miguel’s rights. As per UOL, this was to be paid within five days of completing his move to the English club.

He joined the Reds on July 9th, and the Brazilian hasn’t yet received any money from his former club. UOL state Miguel is tired and annoyed after waiting for Corinthians to pay the money he’s owed.

It’s claimed the stopper is now demanding Corinthians to pay 20% of the overall fee they received from Nottingham Forest. In other words, €800,000.

The website makes no mention of the South American club’s current stance on this case.

Miguel has made one appearance for his new club, and it came against Newcastle United in the EFL Cup. Nottingham Forest lost that fixture on penalties.

Nuno Espírito Santo has favoured Matz Sels ahead of Miguel in the Premier League this season.

Nottingham Forest looked to have hit the jackpot when they parted with around £4 million to sign Odysseas Vlachodimos in the summer of 2023.

The Reds landed a custodian with an abundance of experience and someone who had bundles of game time in the Champions League and other European competitions.

Benfica were the selling club and perhaps surprisingly they had been willing to let him join Forest for such a relatively small transfer fee.

Vlachodimos just didn’t work out at Forest though. He made only seven appearances for the club, keeping one clean sheet against Aston Villa in the Premier League.

He conceded 16 goals from seven outings and after a 5-0 defeat to Fulham, he was displaced in the team by Matt Turner.
