So sad:Leeds United lost a key player to JANUARY transfer offer due to…
Leeds United are formalising their plans to expand Elland Road as we speak, and it might not be too long before we see shovels in the ground to commence work.
The 49ers will know that the chief objective of this season for Leeds is to gain promotion back to the Premier League, having failed last season under Daniel Farke.
However, their long-term mission is beyond just being back in the top flight, but consolidating with a vision to restoring the club’s standing as one of the best, and that includes improving Elland Road.
For those not currently fortunate enough to boast a season ticket to watch Leeds every other week, there is a waiting list that is around 25,000 strong as things stand.
Those on the list have been left in the dark for some time on where they place in that list, given that the proposed capacity increase at Elland Road wouldn’t accommodate for every name on that list, but there is an imminent update coming from the club.
CEO Angus Kinnear revealed as such in the Whites’ latest Supporters Advisory Board meeting for November:
“AK says supporters will receive an email of where they are on the season ticket waiting list shortly, to aid transparency.”
Also on the agenda was a new liaison, Lucinda Yeadon (LY), brought in by the club in order to help facilitate plans on the expansion and build connections between the community, fans, and those managing the project:
“LY working alongside the club in the proposed expansion. Role will be speaking with the community regarding plans, listening to feedback and working with consultants managing the project. Want to return in the future with more in-depth plans and is keen to engage with the group.
“AK says LY is important for fan engagement during the development. LY to bridge between club, consultant and supporters etc. AK says there is scope to facilitate specific meetings
