SO SAD;Christopher Jullien announces his departure few minutes ago due to

Christopher Jullien is part of the Celtic past and present crew wishing Mikey Johnston the best after his move to West Brom.

The Republic of Ireland international completed a permanent move to the Baggies in the summer transfer window after spending the second half of last season with them. He did start this campaign with Celtic but made his move to the English Championship before the window shut.

Taking to Instagram, he posted an emotional farewell to his boyhood club. He said: “It’s hard to say goodbye. I feel very fortunate to have been able to play for Celtic. I’ve lived my dream, playing just one minute would have been enough.

“Thank you to everyone at the club for helping me grow as a player and as a person throughout the years. Thank you to the fans who supported me through the good times and the bad. Looking forward to a new chapter now and going back to being a Celtic fan again. Hail hail, MJ.”

Jullien is one of the stars past and present to wish Johnston the best. The French defender signed from Toulouse in 2019 during Johnston’s time at the club before leaving in 2022 for Montpellier.

He wrote “Crack 🔥🔥🔥🔥” with another exiting Celtic star this summer in Bosun Lawal posting “wow😢”. Joe Hart wrote “Go smash it Mikey” and current Celtic defender Stephen Welsh said “Delighted for you mate good luck.” Left-back Adam Montgomery said “what a guy, what a player” and defender Dane Murray on loan at Queen’s Park currently stated “All the best mate.”

The Parkhead hero couldn’t resist aiming a dig at Philippe Clement’s flops after labelling the Hoops’ 3-0 victory a “breeze in the park” in Glasgow’s east end – a result which saw the reigning Premiership champions open an early five-point gap over their bitter rivals with only four leagues games played.
