Ty Bracey is delighted to see Aston Villa enter contract talks with Morgan Rogers and has compared him to Jack Grealish.

Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, is glad by this news and has compared Rogers to former captain and fan favourite Grealish.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “It’s massively warranted. His salary, given his consistency and form, should put him up there with the big earners.
“We need to tie down players like that because there is going to be eyes on him. Teams will see Villa doing well in the table and ask who is the driving force on the pitch and making those results happen.
“He is a massive part of that. His ball-carrying is something we haven’t seen since Jack Grealish’s time at Villa. I‘m elated to get him tied down to a new contract.“

It would certainly take a lot for the ex-Manchester City youngster to become as good as the 29-year-old was at Villa Park, especially in the Championship and during the seasons after promotion.

Rogers’ ability to get on the ball and drive forward is reminiscent of the England international but the former skipper was so good at drawing fouls which is near impossible to replicate.

There is no doubt that the 22-year-old could reach the level of the treble winner but Villa supporters will be hopeful he won’t return to Manchester City and follow in Grealish’s footsteps.
