SAD News:I will not play again: Leicester key player has decided to quit due to…

Leicester City offloaded a number of players during the summer transfer window.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was their most high-profile departure after his £30m switch to Chelsea – where he has linked up with his former boss Enzo Maresca.

Dewsbury-Hall’s move hasn’t really paid off just yet as he’s struggling to even get into Maresca’s squad, which seems a little bizarre.

And, there’s another player who’s just left Leicester that’s in a similar position, though, there’s actually talk of him being sold in January.

Sevilla could sell Kelechi Iheanacho in January

According to Estadio Deportivo, there is a feeling at Sevilla that Kelechi Iheanacho isn’t at the level required and he could be sold in January just months after his free transfer from Leicester.

Iheanacho, who cost City £25m back in 2017, has started just three games for the La Liga giants and is yet to get off the mark, leaving his future up in the air.

He was only given a contract running until 2026, so getting him off the books shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

According to Capology, Iheanacho earns around £76,000-a-week, so he’d likely have to take a pay cut for his next transfer.

Iheanacho could return to the Premier League

Premier League duo Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town were both interested in signing Iheanacho during the summer window.

Perhaps they could offer the 28-year-old a route back to England – where he has played for most of his career.

The Nigerian has netted 42 Premier League goals across his career, so he’ll certainly remain an attractive option for some of the clubs towards the bottom of the table.
