Sad News : three key players won’t play for west Ham again few minutes ago
West Ham United ace Lucas Paqueta is set to have his hearing for his alleged spot-fixing in March, according to the Sun on Sunday.
The newspaper reported via its print edition on 6 October (page 54) that some people within the Hammers are “frustrated” that the hearing will be taking place during the Premier League season.
The Brazilian has denied the allegations of intentionally getting booked throughout the saga.
It’s been widely speculated that if found guilty, Paqueta could face a lifetime ban.
West Ham United need to improve their Premier League performance
As many will know, the Hammers have had a below-par start to the 2024/25 Premier League season.
While they did manage to triumph 4-1 over Ipswich on 5 October, without the “terrible” defending from ex-Hammers ace Ben Johnson, their scoreline would have been far less impressive.
The Hammers are currently 12th in the Premier League, eight points away from the drop zone.
This may seem like a decent turnout but the fact they finished ninth last season and felt like they were underachieving, says all you need to know.

There’s still plenty of time left in the season for things to turn around but, in reality, if West Ham don’t capitalise on the momentum gained from their 4-1 win over the Tractor Boys, it’s hard to see how things will work out.
