SAD NEWS HE’S GONE,Leeds united key player set to leave club immediately due to…
Daniel Farke’s doubters raised their voices once again after Leeds United stole a draw against Preston on Saturday.
The Whites were seconds away from losing their fourth Championship match of the campaign before Jack Whatmough turned Dan James’s cross into his own net in the third minute of added time on December 14.
Brad Potts was moments away from claiming all three points against Leeds, and considering the disappointing losses to Blackburn Rovers and Millwall already, Farke has been feeling the heat.
Given the manager’s previous experiences in the Championship with Norwich City, it would seem like a brainless decision to get rid of him but after the most recent Red Bull update, he might be fearing for his safety at the club.
Red Bull Salzburg—owned by the same party as Leeds—announced its decision to part ways with manager Pepijn Lijnders [Official X account], with the Austrian side struggling for form.
Daniel Farke to fear Leeds United sack after recent Red Bull decision?
Despite losing four of their 16 league matches, RB Salzburg are sitting fifth in the Austrian Bundesliga, though there is a 10-point gap that has emerged on league leaders Sturm Graz
.It is an even tougher story in the Champions League. The team have only scored three goals and conceded 18 in six matches so far, seeing them sit 32nd out of 36 teams.
While Leeds are second in the Championship right now, three points behind Sheffield United, there is a real pressure for the club to be promoted back to the Premier League.
With Burnley and Sunderland also aiming for the same feat, the title race is definitely heating up. If Leeds cannot secure promotion this term, it could be light out for Farke given Red Bull’s decision away from Elland Road.
Given how long and tedious the Championship season is, that could be a long time from now, but if results are to start slipping under Farke, they could have to make an extremely difficult decision.
