Rangers and Aberdeen were involved in yet another Scottish Premiership classic on Sunday afternoon, battling to a 2-2 draw at Pittodrie.
The home side raced into a two-goal lead in the first half, either side of Ross McCausland being sent off for two yellow cards, with few complaints after.

Hamza Igamane and Ianis Hagi secured a brilliant draw for the Ibrox side, though, and tempers boiled over after the full-time whistle, with Graeme Shinnie clashing with John Souttar and Nico Raskin.

Scottish FA to investigate Rangers and Aberdeen
Keith Hackett has insisted that Hampden officials will be busy at the start of the week, with footage emerging from Pittodrie after the whistle.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, the ex-FIFA official admits that the footage will be investigated to see if a charge could follow for both clubs.

“This encounter will be investigated by the Scottish FA to determine if a charge of failing to control their players is taken,” Hackett said.

Ferguson demands passion and pride
The interim manager will have no problems with this, especially since his players stood up for one another without crossing the line.
Shinnie had to be restrained by several teammates as Souttar and Raskin laughed in his face, possibly getting Aberdeen in more trouble.
Even in the worst season, when the Dons had a massive lead back in the autumn, Rangers have still limped their way to a 16-point gap over them.
If anything proved that massive gap, too, it was Rangers coming from two goals behind despite playing with one less man for more than an hour.
That doesn’t hide the fact that Celtic are closing in on the title, though.

Ferguson’s decision to make nine changes at Pittodrie clearly shows that all eyes are now on that huge return leg in the Europa League quarter-finals against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
The likes of Souttar will return for that one in defence, and he should avoid any Scottish FA action for his mild confrontation with Shinnie.
