McCausland ‘done’ at Ibrox, claims Edgar

Rangers must cash in on McCausland this summer
While McCausland is only 21, there is an argument that he will get better as time progresses.
He’s not even hit his mid-20s, which is the time a lot of wide players start peaking.
However, Gers cannot continue to have him coming off the bench and putting in stinkers.
Had there been progress year after year, one would understand why he was continuing to stay at Ibrox, but that, unfortunately, is not the case.
The Northern Irishman looked in better shape last season and there’s a valid argument that could be made for him to be sold this summer.
His contract runs out in 2027, but Rangers hold the option to extend it by another year.
They could use that to cash in on him this summer and make a pure profit from his sale.
It will also depend on the new owners and the new manager and what kind of impact the 21-year-old has in pre-season.
If he manages to impress Ferguson’s replacement, things could be a lot different and time will tell if he has a future at Ibrox.
