ROBIN PROPPER says consistency is now key for Rangers after the side kicked off 2025 in style with an emphatic Old Firm triumph.
The 31-year-old was part of a Gers backline – short of the influence of Jack Butland, captain James Tavernier, John Souttar and Leon Balogun – which recorded a well-earned clean sheet.
And the Dutch defender now believes it’s long overdue that the Light Blues string together a sequence of victories, beginning tomorrow at Easter Road.
Speaking to media ahead of the trip to the capital, Propper commented: “The key is to be consistent.
“These games [the Old Firm] are different from away games at St. Mirren or Motherwell. You have to adjust in these type of games.
“In games such as Thursday we can win 3-0, but in the last game we drew at Motherwell.
We need be consistent in what we do and to win every game.
“We missed a lot of experienced players and the guys who are always playing.
“We need to be extra focused and the players who came in did really well.
“For me, it’s the same if I play with Tav, Dujon [Sterling] or Leon; it doesn’t matter and I try to play my game.

“It doesn’t make a difference and I try to help the team.
“We have a lot of voices in Jack and Tav, as well as Leon and John.
“I’m there as well and I try to keep up with that to help each other.
“But now we have perhaps less experience in the back four, so maybe you hear me a bit more.”
Propper celebrated his first goal in Rangers colours in the Old Firm triumph, smashing home at the far post after Nico Raskin was initially denied from a corner.
The 31-year-old hopes the goal, albeit not his chief responsibility in the side, can be a springboard in his Gers career.
He added: “I needed to make sure it wasn’t going to hit the post! I tried to hit it across and luckily it went in.
“I know it’s a big thing to score in an Old Firm. I needed to adjust to the team in the first period and have my place in the room.
