Richard Keys predicts where Nottingham Forest will finish in the Premier League this season

It’s just days away from the Premier League getting underway and for Nottingham Forest, it represents a third successive campaign among the elite.

That memorable day at Wembley doesn’t seem like five minutes ago but Forest are now trying to establish themselves as a Premier League club.

Last season the club finished 17th following a bit of a rollercoaster season that saw the club deducted four points for breaching PSR.

Now, Nuno Espirito Santo is hoping to reap the rewards of a full pre-season and help Forest to a more comfortable finish in the Premier League.

Now, with the kick-off on the horizon, pundits and experts have started delivering their verdicts on the new campaign.

Richard Keys predicts where Nottingham Forest will finish this season

The Reds will once again be facing a bit of a battle to find their feet in the Premier League to a certain extent.

After a 17th-place position in the Premier League last season, only the most optimistic of supporters are backing a vast improvement.

Keys is expecting another season where there is a clear fight against relegation but he does expect Forest to stay in the Premier League.

He said on his blog: “Forest will be at the wrong end again, but should also have enough to stay up. As ever – their home form will be critical.”

Forest can kick on this season but it will be tough

The Reds will have every opportunity to kick on this season but as Keys says it will prove quite tough.

Forest need to ensure they stay grounded and build on the momentum of a strong pre-season and tighten up defensively.

Last season, the Reds had one of the worst defences in the Premier League and no team conceded more goals from set pieces.
