Rangers rake in £4.4m windfall as UEFA to award further incentive-based bonuses

Rangers have thus far made £4.4million from the UEFA Europa League due to their results and qualification, according to Football Scotland.

The news outlet reported that Gers already secured £3.6million as they qualified for the group stage and based on their results with £379,201 for a win and £126,400 for a draw, they’ve made another £884,802.

UEFA will also award further incentive-based bonuses of a further £62,000 for every position above the bottom of the league phase table they finish in.

Rangers have the chance to make the most of this Europa League run

With the competition offering significant incentives for progression, Gers stand to gain even more.

For instance, reaching the quarter-finals would net them an additional £2.11million and the semi-finals £3.54million. Should they go all the way to the final, the rewards escalate dramatically as runners-up earn £5.90 million, while lifting the trophy would bring in £10.95million.

This potential for substantial earnings not only provides financial relief but also the opportunity to reinvest in the squad or infrastructure, potentially allowing Gers to enhance their competitiveness both domestically and in Europe.

Moreover, finishing above the bottom of the league phase table offers further financial incentives, adding motivation to perform well in every remaining game.

Thus far, Gers look relatively comfortable in the Europa League and a top-eight finish is still up for grabs.
