Rangers chaos on cards behind the scenes after Nottingham Forest transfer collapse

Nottingham Forest decided to pull the plug on signing Thompson Ishaka due to Rangers complicating the transfer process, according to Sports 247.

The news outlet reported on 16 August that the Premier League side was the 19-year-old’s priority and even Forest saw him as a significant acquisition for the future.

However, they were put off by the number of clauses Gers wanted to include in the deal and decided to end their interest in signing the left winger.

Thompson Ishaka may be furious with Rangers for the transfer collapsing

The collapse of the 19-year-old’s transfer to Nottingham Forest could precipitate significant internal chaos at Ibrox.

Ishaka, having been on the cusp of a high-profile move to the Premier League, might now demand clarity on his future, potentially leading to unrest if he feels his career progression is being hindered.

This situation could put pressure on the club’s sporting director Nils Koppen, to either reassure Ishaka of his role within the club or facilitate a move that satisfies all parties.

If the teenager’s demands for a transfer are not met, it could lead to a dip in morale, affecting team dynamics and fan sentiment.

Koppen’s role would then be crucial in managing expectations, negotiating a potential exit, or integrating Ishaka back into the squad, all while maintaining club harmony amidst the transfer window’s closing pressure.

It remains to be seen whether or not the Nigerian gets his move or he continues to stay at Ibrox beyond the summer.

In other Rangers news, the club are now mooted to secure the services of a £4.2m full-back in loan-to-buy deal and he’s set to leave in a few days.
