Nottingham Forest manager is cleared to pursue a significant transfer target…
West Ham United midfielder James Ward-Prowse is said to have become a last-minute transfer target for Nottingham Forest, who await a final decision on deadline day.
Having conducted key business before the season’s start before ending the window unable to get deals for two striker targets over the line, Forest remain opportunistic heading rapidly towards tonight’s deadline.
As things stand they have roughly 16 hours to confirm any more signings, the next of which is believed could arrive from East London. That is based on word from Fabrizio Romano, who states that Ward-Prowse has piqued the club’s interest in case he becomes available at short notice.
The Englishman, who has made 11 appearances for his country, joined the Hammers last summer after the relegation of his boyhood club, Southampton. He had spent 11 years in the top-flight with the Saints, and in total has now made 381 appearances in the competition.
