Nottingham forest has finally concluded to bring him back few minutes ago…

Nottingham Forest are looking to strengthen in the striker department heading into the January transfer window, with an exciting European player being eyed.

Nuno Espirito Santo has the perfect opportunity to really kick on with the January transfer window around the corner, as this Nottingham Forest side are a couple of signings away from being complete in all areas.

Squad depth up top could be improved, as Forest are currently one injury away from an injury crisis, with just Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood as the only options.

Chris Wood’s goals have been invaluable, but Awoniyi just hasn’t looked the same in his limited appearances after suffering an injury.

It looks as if the Reds are eyeing a striker move ahead of the January transfer window.

Nottingham Forest interested in signing Semih Kılıçsoy

Semih Kılıçsoy is only 19 years of age, yet he’s already made 55 appearances for Besikats, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists.

This season hasn’t gone amazingly for the youngster. He’s scored one goal and assisted four in 16 appearances, but he still has plenty of potential to unlock.

It’s been claimed that Besiktas are looking for a ‘serious transfer fee’ for him and spend this elsewhere, with around €25m (£20m) being desired.

Semih Kılıçsoy too much of a risk right now

The issue Nottingham Forest have is that Chris Wood’s sheer dominance may put off any striker seeking a starting spot, as it’s highly unlikely anyone will knock him off his perch.

This is the issue that Awoniyi has had this season, feeding off scraps at times.

Someone like Kılıçsoy needs regular minutes to gain experience at his age to avoid stunting his progress, and that’s something Nottingham Forest can’t guarantee.

After all, he’s not shown enough in the Turkish league to warrant a £20 million fee.

However, the youngster has been compared to Sergio Aguero (as per Football Scout).
