Nottingham Forest have already gone back on their word to £3.4m star
Nottingham Forest conducted some really good transfer business in the summer, but one move just hasn’t worked out and now the club look like the bad guys.
Elliot Anderson and Nikola Milenkovic are already household names at Nottingham Forest, having made a superb start to life at the City Ground.
Milenkovic has attracted the most attention in recent times, with Newcastle United even looking at signing him instead of Anthony Elanga.
Anderson on the other hand, has controlled things in midfield at times and put in one of his best displays yet against Crystal Palace last time out.
Interestingly, Anderson was compared to Lionel Messi for his moment of brilliance in the first half by Alan Smith, but it came to nothing as his shot was blocked.
However, one player hasn’t had a good time of things since moving to Nottingham Forest, with the club even going back on their word to him.
Nottingham Forest break promise to summer signing
Matz Sels has been in inspired form for Nottingham Forest of late, making crucial saves against both Chelsea and Crystal Palace to secure some points for his side.
This has made it almost impossible for Carlos Miguel to work his way into the team after joining for £3.4 million in the summer.
Interestingly, it’s now come out that Nottingham Forest made a promise to the goalkeeper that they’ve not kept this season.
According to Bola VIP (as per Sport Witness), Carlos Miguel was ‘promised’ a starting spot.
They state that whilst that may be something of an exaggeration he’ll have certainly expected more than he’s been given so far.
His situation as Nottingham Forest has been described as a ‘crisis’.
Carlos Miguel’s time at Nottingham Forest
Sadly, Carlos Miguel has only managed to make one appearance in the Carabao Cup this season, which resulted in a 1-0 loss to Newcastle United.
