Despite a quiet summer, which saw just Giorgi Mamardashvili and Federico Chiesa signed, the Reds have made a perfect start to the season under new head coach Arne Slot. Liverpool.com says: It would be a surprise to see Liverpool try and sign someone straight from South America. The Reds have been linked with plenty of stars from the continent before, but they tend to wait until they’ve made the initial move to Europe before making a play for them.

It’s another name to keep a close eye on though. Considering his age, there is still a lot of development for Reis to do, and Liverpool would have to be pretty certain about his capabilities to make a move for him.

Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton)Jarrad Branthwaite is interested in swapping Everton for Liverpool, according to Football Insider. The claims come amid what is described as ‘concrete’ interest from the Reds in the defender.

Liverpool is said to have already made contact with the 22-year-old’s agent, although they would have to be prepared to part with a large sum. Everton is said to value Branthwaite at around $106m (£80m/€95m) after Manchester United failed in its attempts to take him to Old Trafford during the summer.

Liverpool.com says: Even if Liverpool were to match Everton’s valuation, you can’t imagine the Toffees being willing to sell to the Reds. Branthwaite would be an interesting signing, and Slot may well know a fair bit about him after his loan spell at PSV Eindhoven, but we can’t really see this one happening.
