JUST IN:Philippe Clement confirmed the departure of Ridvan Yilmaz due to…

Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz will need to spend some extra time in the gym as he aims to return from his recent injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that along with that there’ll be individual training routines set up for him as well as the club will aim to get him up to speed with his fitness.

The Turkey international is yet to play for the Ibrox outfit this season adding to Philippe Clement’s woes.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

“He’s been out for a few weeks now and there isn’t clarity over his return.

“The protocols to reintroduce him back to the team would be standard – some recovery time to allow the injury to calm down and then gradually building back mobility, strength and neuromuscular control along with working on fitness.

“The progression will include extra time in the gym, individual training and then team training leading to bounce minutes in matches.“

Rangers are missing Ridvan Yilmaz in defence

Gers have not been a cohesive unit this season and not having their first-choice left-back is certainly one of the main reasons.

Yilmaz made that spot his own since Clement took over so much so that the club made Borna Barisic redundant over the summer.

Hopefully, the 23-year-old returns to action sooner rather than later and can hit the ground running for Gers.
