JUST IN;Everton key player announce his retirement after the international break…

David Moyes is receiving a growing groundswell of support within the Everton boardroom to make a sensational return to the club, sources have told Football Insider.

Club directors are grateful to Sean Dyche for keeping the team up last season, but some believe Moyes is capable of taking his former club back to the next level.

The fans are also believed to be key to any potential managerial change at Goodison Park in the near future.

Sources have told Football Insider that Dyche could be sacked by the next international break if results continue to be poor and the supporters then turn against the manager in huge numbers.

The Merseyside giants are currently bottom of the Premier League table after failing to win any of their opening three matches.

Everton have conceded 10 goals in those fixtures, with the club throwing away a two-goal lead in the 86th minute last weekend to lose 3-2 against Bournemouth.

David Moyes could be set for a sensational return to Everton

Football Insider previously revealed that Dyche is under growing pressure at Everton, while Moyes would “love” to make a return to his former club.

This wouldn’t be the first time that the Scottish manager has returned to a club, as he has had two separate spells in charge of West Ham.

The 61-year-old has been out of work since the end of last season when he parted ways with the Irons.

Moyes was in charge of Everton from 2002 to 2013, when he left the club to take over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Man United.

Moyes guided Everton to Champions League football during the 2004-05 campaign, and established the team as a club that would consistently fight to be in the top seven in the Premier League.
