Inter Milan could submit bid for Everton’s ‘most important player’ in January

The future is beginning to look bright at Evertondespite an Italian club looking to prise an Everton star away from Goodison Park.

Finally, after a long period of uncertainty, Everton are about to be taken over by the Friedkin Group ahead of the move to Bramley Docks.

For a few years, The Toffees have been operating on a shoestring budget and have had to sell their key assets.

Amadou Onana had to be sold for £50m to Aston Villa in the summer and Richarlison left for a similar fee a couple of years prior.

With that said, Serie A giants Inter Milan are now keen on signing an Everton player in January, so it will be interesting to see if the Freidkin Group can turn down bids and ultimately retain his services.

Inter Milan could bid for Jarrad Branthwaite in January

Jarrad Branthwaite was targetted by Manchester United in the summer and now it seems there’s more interest from the continent.

According to Inter Live, Inter Milan could submit a bid for Branthwaite during the January transfer window.

Inter have been impressed by his performances over the last year, however, it’s thought they may not have the finances to land his signature.

The Italian outlet claim Branthwaite is valued at £33m, though, that is way off the mark considering United had a £50m bid rejected for him over the summer.

It’d likely take an offer worth £70m to get Everton even thinking.

Everton must keep Jarrad Branthwaite at all costs

Everton simply have to keep Branthwaite at the club as he’s crucial to their hopes of avoiding relegation.

In fact, the 22-year-old has been labelled their ‘most important player’ per The Athletic, so if they were to lose him mid-season, it’d be a huge blow.
