Hannibal Mejbri hands in transfer request as Rangers make move

Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has handed in a transfer request amid interest from Rangers, according to Buzz News Tunisia.

The news outlet reported on 12 August that sources in the British press claim that the Tunisia international is eyeing an exit from Old Trafford ahead of the 30 August deadline.

This comes after the Daily Record claimed that both Gers and Celtic were keen on the 21-year-old.

Hannibal Mejbri issues come-and-get-me plea to Rangers

Mejbri’s transfer request from Manchester United is a clear come-and-get-me plea to Gers and any other club keen.

The 21-year-old midfielder is eager to secure regular playing time, which he is unlikely to get under Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

Rangers must act swiftly to capitalise on Mejbri’s desire to leave Old Trafford.

The talented midfielder’s technical abilities and versatility would be valuable assets for Philippe Clement’s side.

Mejbri’s experience in the Premier League and European competitions would also be beneficial for Gers as they look to regain the title, qualify for the Champions League and then get decent results to secure even more money.

However, the Ibrox outfit must be wary of Celtic’s interest in Mejbri.

The Hoops may try to hijack the deal if their cross-town rivals do not move quickly.

Securing Mejbri’s signature would not only strengthen Rangers’ squad but also prevent their arch-rivals from acquiring a talented player which could have serious ramifications on the title race.

In other Rangers news, the Ibrox outfit are now eyeing a midfielder at a Champions League club after a £6million transfer development.
