GOOD NEWS:Nuno Santo Confirmed the return of former key player few minutes ago..

Nottingham Forest now sit on four points in the Premier League table following their win on Saturday against Southampton.

Next up for Nuno Espirito Santo‘s side is a game at home against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup and then Wolves.

Forest have made a solid start to the season and that comes on the back of what has been an impressive summer in the market.

The Reds have seen eight new faces come through the doors with the prospect for more to arrive before Friday’s deadline.

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is a player of real interest to Forest with a deal believed to be nearing towards completion.

And the Forest boss may just have hinted towards further business being in the works following the game on Saturday.

But there is still time for this Forest side to get even stronger over the coming days with Forest eyeing another defender in Gonzalo Montiel.

It seems as if more additions are also on the mind of the manager, even after their encouraging win on Saturday.

Speaking after the game from St Mary’s, Nuno admitted there could be some surprises in the works at the City Ground.

“You know how it is. We go now and tomorrow, we wake up and you don’t know what’s going to happen!” he told the media.

“There are so many things going on in the transfer window, surprise moves. All of the teams in the Premier League look at these final days to get it right with the details.”

Nottingham Forest showing progression on last season

Despite having made so many signings, Nuno has not made huge changes to the starting XI in the opening two games.

Nikola Milenkovic was handed his debut against the Saints with Elliot Anderson also in from the start.

Clearly, Nuno is trying to fine tune his side and, so far, that is working wonders with Forest putting in two impressive performances to open up their season.
