Good News:EX-Pittsburgh Steelers QB signs a huge contract with Washington commanders worth about $450
After lengthy injury absences, the Pittsburgh Steelers could return two players against the Washington Commanders. Linebacker Tyler Matakevich and wide receiver Ben Skowronek both suffered injuries against the Denver Broncos and were placed on injured reserve. They have not played since that game, but after both logged full practices this week, there is a chance that both could return.
Matakevich pulled his hamstring and remained sidelined. However, he has started working for the last few weeks, and now appears ready to return to his role as a core special teamer. With his return, the Steelers would also get a boost to their inside linebacker depth.
Skowronek was a gunner and blocking specialist at wide receiver when he did play. After acquiring Mike Williams, it is unknown how he will fit into the rotation exactly, but Skowronek could still be sidelined for another week while he practices. He suffered a shoulder injury and then was elevated from the practice squad and promptly placed on injured reserve.
I either player is expected to return against the Commanders, the Steelers must make roster moves before the game, as they still have 53 players.
