When Friedkin’s Everton takeover could be completed with it ‘progressing

With the international break upon us once again, Everton and its fanbase will be glad to take a breather from the Premier League action after such a whirlwind past few weeks.

And, with so many new injuries amassed, it could not have come at a more perfect time.

After all, Saturday’s clash with Newcastle United saw the afternoon marred by absences, with Vitaliy Mykolenko and Jarrad Branthwaite both missing out late on, adding to the pain of Everton manager Sean Dyche.

Many have questioned the 53-year-old throughout this season already, but the hand he has routinely been dealt has never been fair.

Fortunately, that is set to change with Dan Friedkin’s Everton takeover, although whether he will be around to reap the long-term benefits remains to be seen.

Alan Myers makes Dan Friedkin takeover prediction

Before any big decisions are even made though, the American needs to actually get into power at Goodison Park.

Having struck a deal with Farhad Moshiri for the second time this year, this particular one seems far more advanced and much more real than the last.

In fact, The Friedkin Group even released a statement to their fans at AS Roma, ensuring that little would change with this new acquisition.

However, since then, it has been all quiet on the takeover front.

Evertonians are desperately awaiting any news, and in their impatience, one even sought out Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers to get his verdict on a more realistic time frame.

The journalist would reveal, when asked if it was still progressing on X: ‘It is, my guess has always been end of November but don’t know for definite, it’s definitely progressing.’

Dan Friedkin could bring about a brighter era for Everton

It’s nice that, after so many years of misery, financial turmoil and relegation threats, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel at last.
