Fabio Paratici urges Tottenham to sign 23-year-old Serie A star
Paratici’s relationship with Spurs
Paratici continued working as a consultant for Tottenham for a while after being forced to resign from his role as the club’s managing director of football.
While the Italian’s influence has waned after the arrival of Johan Lange, it has now been reported by InterLive that his opinion is still very much respected at the North London club.
Midfielder on Tottenham’s radar
The report says that Paratici has now asked his former employers to secure the services of Torino’s Samuele Ricci.
The defensive midfielder has emerged as one of the best defensive midfielders in Serie A of late and has now even broken into the Azzurri set-up.
It is claimed that the Lilywhites are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old’s progress as they consider making a move for the player.
Spurs will face competition
The report explains that Tottenham are not the only big side keen on Ricci, with Manchester City also named as admirers of the midfielder.
The Torino star is said to be flattered by the interest from the Premier League, which indicates that he is open to a move.
The publication states that AC Milan are also interested in Ricci but it is pointed out that Paulo Fonseca’s men do not have the resources to compete with the English clubs.
Over the weekend, the club hosted its tenth NFL match, with the Chicago Bears taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars, and a whopping 61,182 fans turned out for the game. That’s just shy of the 62,850 capacity at the venue, so it’s not hard to imagine how much money came through the doors on the day.
According to a report from Football.London on the partnership between Tottenham and the NFL, it has been revealed just how the club make their money from these kinds of events.
