Everton to submit ‘attractive’ bid to sign Rangers forward Hamza Igamane
Everton could be set to submit an “attractive” bid to sign Rangers striker Hamza Igamane in the January transfer window, according to Mountakhab.
The Moroccan news outlet has reported that amid the interest in the 22-year-old, the Toffees could be set to take advantage of financial issues at Ibrox and make a bid for the striker.
In recent weeks, Igamane has stepped into Philippe Clement’s starting line-up and has proven his ability with six goals in all competitions, including four in the Europa League.
With the Blues sitting just three points ahead of the relegation zone, the upcoming window will be a big one for Sean Dyche as he looks to strengthen his side to guarantee survival in the top flight.
Hamza Igamane from Rangers to Everton?
Igamane has really developed his game recently and at just 22-years-old, it looks as though the striker has a big future ahead of him which means this would be a great signing for the Blues.
With the takeover close to confirmation at Goodison Park, the Friedkin Group will be looking to back Dyche in the hope of a stronger second half of the season which will secure survival before looking ahead to life at a new stadium in the Premier League.
Rangers have had plenty of struggles both on and off the pitch of late meaning that as much as they rate the young striker, they would also be forced to consider a good offer for the player as a way to solve some of their financial woes.
With this in mind, the Toffees could well take advantage of that by making an offer that the Gers couldn’t turn down, whilst it probably not needing to be as high as it would be to prize him away in more stable circumstances.
