Everton in front row ready to seal Arkadiusz Milik transfer now

Everton have found themselves in the front row to sign Juventus striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper reported via its print edition (30 July, pg 13) that fellow Premier League side West Ham United are also vying for his transfer.

It is also suggested that there are still many open questions and nothing is yet set in stone in terms of Juventus exits, with several players on the chopping block.

Everton ready to sign Arkadiusz Milik

Everton need to sign at least one number nine this summer. That number will inevitably increase should either Beto or Dominic Calvert-Lewin exit by the 30 August deadline.

One of the key areas that the team struggled in last season was that of their attack. Between the aforementioned two, they both managed to have below-par seasons and were one of the main reasons for the Toffees’ fifteenth-placed finish in the Premier League.

Indeed, the two counts of PSR breaches that resulted in a total of eight points being deducted also have a part to play but their end-of-season results would have been much better if they managed to bag a few more goals.

Jesper Lindstrom and Iliman Ndiaye have both already been added to the club’s ranks but neither are natural number nines.

Milik managed to score eight goals across all competitions last term and has been in some of Europe’s strongest leagues since arriving in Italy for Napoli back in the 2016/17 season.

The Poland international would be a stellar addition to Everton and would no doubt help increase their quality up top.

In other Everton news, the Toffees have a Brazilian striker on their radar.
