Eddie Howe:it’s difficult moment in terms of results but AM HERE. I want to be here”…

The report claims that interim head coach Lee Carsley has been tracking Hall’s progress at Newcastle ahead of a possible call-up as England take on Greece and Ireland in two weeks time.

England have been struggling to fill that left-back position since Ashley Cole retired and despite Luke Shaw being a quality player, his poor fitness record left Kieran Trippier playing there for most of Euro 2024.

At just 20-years-old, Hall is already showing signs of being a top player going forwards and his defensive work has also massively improved in the last few weeks with his display against Bukayo Saka at the weekend a particular highlight.

Another thing working in Hall’s favour is that incoming England boss, Thomas Tuchel, was the man who handed him his professional debut at Chelsea and will no doubt already be in contact with Carsley regarding the upcoming squad.

Who knows, at this rate we may even see four Mags called up to the next Three Lions squad, with Anthony Gordon, Nick Pope and Tino Livramento also in contention.
