Done Deal:West Ham United starting XI vs Ipswich Town confirmed

Julen Lopetegui has named his West Ham United starting XI for the clash with Ipswich Town this afternoon.

West Ham play host to Ipswich Town in the Premier League today, in a game that we absolutely have to win.

The West Ham starting XI selected by Julen Lopetegui should be more than good enough to get the job done, if the players turn up and put in a performance of course.

Things haven’t gone well for for the Hammers this season, and we’ve taken just five points from the opening six Premier League games.

There has even been talk of Lopetegui getting the sack if results don’t improve quickly, but he has apparently assured the board that he will turn things around.

That turnaround absolutely must start today – nothing less than a win will do against Ipswich Town.

So how has Lopetegui decided to set up his team?

Lopetegui has made no changes from the team that drew 1-1 with Brentford last weekend.

Here’s the lineup the Spaniard has gone with, as confirmed by the club’s official X account.

Alphonse Areola, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Max Kilman, Jean-Clair Todibo, Emerson Palmieri, Guido Rodriguez, Tomas Soucek, Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus, Michail Antonio

Hopefully every single one of those players turn up today and put a shift in.

We need the London Stadium to be in full voice as well, in order to really push the players on.

Ipswich have been playing some lovely stuff this season, so we absolutely should not be underestimating them.

We need our players to be switched on from the very first whistle up until the last today.

Whilst the end result is undoubtedly the most important thing this afternoon, I really would love to see a top-class performance from the boys.

It would be great to see a clear footballing identity on display.

That said, I’d take a scrappy 1-0 win right now if it was offered!

I think we’ll have enough to turn over Ipswich after seeing the West Ham United starting XI, although it definitely won’t be easy.

I’m going for a 2-1 Hammers win, COYI X
