DEAL DONE;His is back finally..
Wolfsburg ace Vaclav Cerny has chosen to join Rangers in a season-long loan deal, according to Denik Sport.
The Czech outlet reported via X on 25 July that Cerny has already completed his medical with the club and will be set to join in the near future.
The report also states that the Czech winger had many options on the table but eventually chose Rangers as his preferred destination.
Vaclav Cerny is an ideal addition for Rangers
Rangers have undergone plenty of changes already in the summer window, enjoying a fruitful month as they look to strengthen their squad for a renewed title tilt.
It’s clear that Philippe Clement has had a clear group of targets in mind since the start of the window as the vast majority of the arrivals have been youngsters.
The likes of Connor Barron and Jefte have been added to the club’s ranks as replacements for the likes of John Lundtrsam and Borna Barisic.
And, thanks to the recent news from the Gers camp that Todd Cantwell has handed in a formal transfer request [MailOnline, 24 July], a move for the 26-year-old makes a lot of sense.
Cerny will be looking to impress and make up for some lost time in Glasgow as he has had his fair share of injuries in the past.
Although it’s not a name many Rangers fans would have likely heard of, there’s no doubt that the further support in attack will be of great use to the club this season.
In other Rangers news, the club are looking to demand £1m from Aris for Goldson.
Although the Light Blues’ exact valuation of the 32-year-old hasn’t yet been revealed, Heart and Hand host Edgar believes Philippe Clement’s side will be holding out for a seven-figure fee before sanctioning a sale.
